Fifteen things GTA 6 does differently from GTA V
Side by side with GTA V, the trailers and An Extended Look show a game that has been rebuilt rather than polished. These are the fifteen differences we keep coming back to, counted down.
Buildings and bodies (15 to 11)
15. Far more interiors you can walk straight into, with no loading screen at the door. 14. Apartments are lived in and full of things you can use. 13. People on the street drop what they are carrying when something goes wrong. 12. Your character's body changes with how you play. 11. Crashes and falls leave injuries that carry weight.
Crime with consequences (10 to 5)
10. Violence is noticeably more brutal. 9. Stealing a car is a decision with more ways to go wrong, not a button press. 8. A car door is something you can swing into people. 7. The world generates its own small stories and side jobs. 6. Police respond to what witnesses actually saw. 5. Robberies have been rebuilt from the ground up.
A world that runs without you (4 to 1)
4. The environment reacts to what you do in it. 3. Vice City fills up on its own through the day. 2. Dogs walk with owners on properly simulated leashes. 1. You can switch between Jason and Lucia in the middle of the action, not only between missions.
